Advanced GIS Practice Exam

The correct action to take when the Tile Package option is missing in the File > Share As menu is to enable ArcGIS Runtime tools in ArcMap Options. The Tile Package function is part of the ArcGIS Runtime tools, which are necessary for working with tile packages. If this option is not visible, it often indicates that these essential tools have not been activated in your settings. Enabling the ArcGIS Runtime tools ensures that all related functionalities, including the creation of tile packages, are accessible within the software.

In contrast, simply saving all changes and restarting ArcMap may not resolve the issue if the underlying settings have not been correctly configured. Checking with a network administrator might be appropriate if there are connectivity or permissions issues, but it would not directly address the missing functionality within your toolset. While being signed into ArcGIS Online is important for accessing various ArcGIS services, it is not directly related to enabling the Tile Package functionality in ArcMap. Thus, adjusting the settings to enable the Runtime tools is the most direct solution to gaining access to the Tile Package feature.
